Product design for Fukuyama Zoo
The objective was to inspire and motivate Fukuyama residents (kids and adults) to visit and learn more about the animals of their hometown zoo.
We spoke to the caretakers at the zoo to capture the personalities and characteristics of each animal. The animals are illustrated with playful lines and cheerful colors, and the packaging includes a description and tagline for each.
The round coin cases are made from local Fukuyama denim.
The embroidery and bright zipper pop against the dark denim and make them a fun item to carry around.
The pins and coin cases, along with handheld fans and hand towels, are sold at the zoo gift shop.
